but it definitely makes me feel better. I think you're describing what I really experienced when it was new - I realized that my car makes just as much a statement about who I am as my clothing, at least when I'm out driving. Getting to drive a beautiful Z after 9 years of driving a nondescript Sunfire felt more fitting to the person I am now. When the Z needed to be down for work the first few times, I was almost embarassed to be seen out in the Sunfire. Kind of like if I ever put on the old baggy clothing I used to wear instead of the well-fitting and current clothes I wear now.I can handle driving the Sunfire a little better now, knowing the Z is just down for a little bit, when it happens; knowing I still own it and will be back in it soon. The Z makes the statement I want to make better than any other car I can think of. Aside from that, it's really the most comfortable car I've ever been in. Being pressed back into the seat by acceleration feels good. Admiring its lines feels good. Talking about it feels good. Fixing it up feels good. Sharing good times with people who also appreciate it feels good, both online and in person.
